Why Work With Calverley Timberworks

In-home repairs for scratches, dog chews, and edge damage.

Zero Moving Hassle

Your heavy wardrobes and dining tables stay right where they belong.

Same-Day Result

Most isolated scratches and dents are completely repaired within two hours.

Invisible from Standing

The repair blends into the surrounding timber under ordinary room light.

How We Carry Out Work

  1. 1

    Area Preparation

We mask the surrounding floor and clean the damaged wood of oils.

  2. 2

    Wax and Resin Filling

Heated blend waxes are pressed into the gouge and levelled flush.

  3. 3

    Grain Replication

We paint timber pores and medullary rays over the fill to blend it visually.

  4. 4

    Protective Sealing

A fast-curing protective clear mist seals the touch-up against daily cleaning.

Our Workmanship Standard

We stand behind every joint we reglue and every surface we finish. If a repaired joint fails or a finish lifts under normal home use within twelve months, we collect the piece and correct the problem without charge. We do not ask for payment until the work is finished and sitting in your home. Pricing & payment

Notes From Furniture Owners

★★★★★
Our Georgian dining table had loose legs and heavy ring marks. Julian dismantled the loose mortise joints and revived the walnut grain with linseed oil. It sits firmly on the floor now.

The workshop returned my grandfather's oak armchair wrapped in heavy protective quilts. The wobble in the armrest is completely gone, and the beeswax polish smells fresh.

Clear written quote provided at my flat. The repairs to the cracked mahogany desk top were neatly executed without masking the natural patina of the wood.
