Parties and Scope

These terms apply between Calverley Timberworks, operating from 34 The Calls, Leeds, LS2 7EW, and the client named in the written estimate. We undertake timber repair, regluing, surface refinishing, and related joinery conservation services for residential and commercial furniture.

Booking and Quotes

Quotes are prepared based on photographic evidence or direct physical inspection and remain valid for thirty calendar days. A booking is confirmed once we agree on an inspection or collection date by telephone or email. We reserve the right to revise our quote if hidden internal structural defects are discovered after opening up the furniture, but we will always obtain your consent before proceeding with extra work.

Performance of the Work and Access to the Premises

For on-site repairs, the client must grant safe, unhindered access to the furniture piece with reasonable lighting and ventilation. For workshop restorations, we handle transit using our dedicated vehicle and protective blankets. We carry out all hand craft with professional skill according to recognized UK furniture conservation principles.

Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work or upon return delivery of the restored furniture to your property. We accept cash on completion and direct bank transfer against invoice only. We do not operate card processing terminals or online card payment facilities.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Clients may cancel or reschedule a booked visit without fee by notifying us at least twenty-four hours before the appointed time. Cancellations received with less notice may incur a call-out charge of thirty pounds to cover transit scheduling.

Liability, Insurance and Complaints

Calverley Timberworks maintains public liability insurance covering damage to third-party property up to two million pounds. While your furniture is in our care at 34 The Calls, it is covered against workshop fire and structural loss. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the repair, you must notify us within fourteen calendar days so we can inspect and rectify the finish at our bench.

Governing Law

These terms of service and any disputes arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
