Dining Table Surface Restoration
For solid timber and veneered dining tables showing honest wear or water damage. We strip failing lacquer or wax, steam minor dents, and apply durable hardwax oils or traditional shellac. Your tabletop returns to daily service with its grain intact.
- ✓Assessment of timber species and original grain
- ✓Gentle chemical stripping of failed finish
- ✓Selective steam lifting of pressed wood fibres
- ✓Hand sanding through fine abrasive grades
- ✓Colour blending for ring marks and burns
- ✓Three coats of heat-resistant hardwax oil
Our Workmanship Standard
We stand behind every joint we reglue and every surface we finish. If a repaired joint fails or a finish lifts under normal home use within twelve months, we collect the piece and correct the problem without charge. We do not ask for payment until the work is finished and sitting in your home.
Who does the work
Wood moves with every season. We respect that movement by using flexible animal glues and hand planes instead of modern synthetic fillers.
Notes From Furniture Owners
Our Georgian dining table had loose legs and heavy ring marks. Julian dismantled the loose mortise joints and revived the walnut grain with linseed oil. It sits firmly on the floor now.
Marcus B., Leeds, GBThe workshop returned my grandfather's oak armchair wrapped in heavy protective quilts. The wobble in the armrest is completely gone, and the beeswax polish smells fresh.
Helen T., Leeds, GBClear written quote provided at my flat. The repairs to the cracked mahogany desk top were neatly executed without masking the natural patina of the wood.

How do you determine the cost of a furniture repair?
We evaluate structural looseness, missing timber elements, and surface condition. You receive a fixed written quotation before we start any work.
What happens if a joint loosens after delivery?
We provide a 30-day review period. If any reconstructed joint displays movement under normal indoor use, we return to rectify it at no cost.
How do I pay for completed restoration work?
You pay only after the piece is returned to your property and inspected. We accept cash on delivery and direct bank transfer.
Can you carry out repairs inside my home?
Minor surface polishing and hinge adjustments can be done on site. Structural rebuilds and full wax refinishing take place in our Leeds workshop.
Before We Visit Your Property
Clear a one-metre working path around the furniture piece so our technician has free space.
Remove all delicate glassware, ceramics, and drawer contents from inside the unit.
Most on-site repair appointments take between one and two hours to complete.
Payment is made only upon completion via cash on site or a direct bank transfer.
Have a piece that needs care?
Send us two clear photographs of your furniture and note what needs attention. We will call you back within twenty-four hours with an honest assessment and starting price.
